Radio Surf - Privacy Policy

Radio Surf ("Radio Surf", "we", "us", or "our") operates an online platform that connects surf photographers with individuals who wish to purchase surf photography. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you use the Radio Surf platform.

We may collect the following types of information: account information such as name and email address, login credentials, purchase and transaction information, uploaded photographs and related metadata, and technical information such as IP address, browser type, and device information.

We use collected data to operate the platform, process purchases, provide customer support, improve the service, detect fraud or abuse, and comply with legal obligations. When you make a purchase or download purchased content, we record technical details of the request (IP address, browser user agent, and time) and retain them together with the order. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and defending payment disputes (chargebacks). These records are kept for as long as the related payment can legally be disputed and are shared only with our payment processor when dispute evidence is required.

Payments on the platform are processed through third-party providers such as Stripe. Radio Surf does not store full payment card information.

We may share information with payment processors, hosting providers, analytics tools, and legal authorities when required by law. We do not sell personal data.

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

If you are located in the European Union you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability.

Radio Surf may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, improve user experience, and analyze platform usage.

Our platform may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, analytics, and payment processing. These services have their own privacy policies.

The platform is intended only for individuals aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Radio Surf offers an optional feature that helps you find photos of yourself. If you choose to tag yourself on a photo you have purchased or claimed ("This is me"), we compute and store a numeric representation of that face (a biometric template). We do not store a separate copy of your face image for this purpose. The template is used solely to show you photos across the catalog that appear to contain you and, if you enable it, to notify you when new such photos are published. This constitutes processing of biometric data under GDPR Article 9 and happens only with your explicit consent, given at the moment of your first tag. You can withdraw consent at any time in your Profile ("Delete my face data") or by removing your last tag; withdrawal deletes your biometric template, your tags, and stops all related notifications. Photos in the catalog are analyzed to detect faces so that this feature can work; those detections are not linked to any person unless that person tags themselves. If you believe you appear in a photo and want it removed, use the takedown form.

Radio Surf may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
